R.E.I. project Mail 1

Dear Earth Day Friends,

Please forgive me this sudden e-mail. My name is Ken'ichi Mitsusue, and I'm
a Japanese, started to take actions for Earth Day since 1992.
I found your e-mail address on the website of Earth Day Network
(http://www.earthday.net/).

I am sending this e-mail because we'd like to ask your support for our
ongoing project, which is, Real-Time Earth Day Internet (R.E.I.) Project.
This project will be held on April 22 on our website, and we'll show as many
pictures as possible describing how people spend their own Earth Day all
over the world. The website will be updated every hour on that day, and you
can find various kinds of Earth Day celebration taken place in the world.
In order to make it possible, we need to gather photos and pictures as well
as to set up a strong web server for loading heavy picture files. The latter
concern is now solved since JCAFE (Japan Computer Access For Empowerment)
supports this activity. However, we urgently need to seek your help to
collect information and photos.

Now, we would like to invite you to join this R.E.I. Project.

We know that we have different cultures, languages, and we also have time
differences. There are "boundaries" in the world, and we need to have a
passport in order to get across another country. And yet, we also know that
all the human beings are basically the same. It may sound cheap, but we
share our love and peace on Earth.
We believe that we can show how all of us feel the same appreciation toward
the nature, yet the way of expression somewhat varies. Such variation is
wonderful, and we'd like to share ideas with each other and collaborate with
each other via the Internet.

I hope we can work together through R.E.I. Project. If you have any
questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact with us.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.@Thank you for your cooperation.

With my warmest regards,
Ken'ichi Mitsusue
