Dear Friends,
We are sending you some pictures (on jpg format) presenting a small part of the actions organised by Earth Friends, Galati, Romania for the jubilee of Earth Day. These pictures are grabed from the video tape. The rest of interesting pictures have to be developed tomorrow, because on Sunday all photo workshops are closed.
Despite the windy and cloudy weather, more than one hundred young people and pupils were involved in open air activities organised by Earth Friends. The motto was: "Became involved!"
More than 500 people enjoyed the interesting and variate program prepared by the organisers. Lots of flyers and brochures were spread. Contests were also organised (drawings on pavement, rolling skates, songs, and general knowledge on Earth Day, Environment and sSustainable Energy).
An other important action has been organised in a room of the Business Center where, all the responsible persons on city management met Earth Friends to establish the time schedule for Local Agenda 21 implementation.
The events were well covered by local and national media (3 local TV broadcasting and a national one, 2 local Radio broadcasting and 3 newspapers).
